Crispy chicken fries are an easy meal or snack that the whole family will love!

These long, skinny strips of tender chicken are coated in a delicate breadcrumb batter and fried until golden brown. I dare you to stop at one!
The secret to getting this recipe to taste just like Burger King chicken fries is to process the breadcrumbs until they are fine.
That thin, delicate coating is what makes them different from regular chicken fingers. That, and the super thin slice. More on that below!

Ingredients
- Boneless skinless chicken breasts
- All purpose flour
- Plain bread crumbs
- Garlic Powder
- Paprika
- Dry Mustard
- Salt
- Hot Sauce
- Eggs
For the special sauce, here’s what you’ll need:
- Ketchup
- Mayonnaise
- Sweet relish

How to Make Crispy Chicken Fries
Make the Breadcrumb Coating
Grab your food processor and pour the flour, bread crumbs and dry seasonings into the bowl. Process the mixture until it’s the consistency of sand.
Now, transfer the mixture to a shallow bowl.
Slice the Chicken
Slice the chicken into long, thin strips.
No chicken breast is perfectly symmetrical, but do your best to slice uniform strips so that they cook evenly.

Heat the Oil
Now, heat about 1/4 inch of vegetable or canola oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Dredge the Chicken
Whisk the eggs and hot sauce together in a shallow bowl and place it next to the bowl of breadcrumbs.
Dredge the chicken strips in the egg mixture, then the breadcrumb mixture. Then, place the chicken into the hot oil.
Fry the Chicken Strips
These chicken fries won’t take long to cook because they’re sliced so thin. So watch for them to get golden brown on both sides and then remove them onto a wire rack.
It should only take 3-4 minutes per side.

Serving Suggestions
1. Dipping Sauce. Enjoy your chicken fries with your favorite sauce for dipping! My favorite dipping sauce is the special sauce you see here. It tastes just like what you’d get at Burger King, and you’ll find the recipe below. Other fun dips are ranch dressing, barbecue sauce and honey mustard.
2. Appetizer Spread. Serve these crispy chicken fries with other fun finger foods like mini tacos, pigs in a blanket and Parmesan bites.
3. Make it a Meal. Pair these fried chicken strips with potato chips, coleslaw, corn casserole or whipped potatoes.

Air Fryer Instructions
Once the chicken fries are battered and breaded, place them into the air fryer basket and coat them with nonstick cooking spray.
Air fry at 400F for 4-5 minutes. Then, flip them over and coat them in nonstick cooking spray again.
Give them another 3-4 minutes and they should be good to go.
Oven Instructions
Place the battered and breaded chicken strips in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Drizzle the chicken with olive oil and bake at 425 for 10-12 minutes, flipping once.

Storage Instructions
Store your homemade chicken fries in an airtight container in the fridge. You could also wrap them in aluminum foil for storage.
Reheat them in an oven for air fryer to retain their crispy texture.
Tips for Success
1. Crush the Breadcrumbs. If you want authentic chicken fries, don’t skip this step! Process the breadcrumbs in a food processor to get a light and crunchy coating.
2. Fry Low and Slow. Be sure not to overheat the oil, as it will result in a coating that’s overdone and chicken that’s underdone.
3. Slice the Chicken Strips Evenly. No chicken breast is perfectly symmetrical, but do your best to slice even strips so that they cook at about the same pace.
