Whether you’re pairing it with raw veggies, warm pita bread or grilled meats, this easy Greek feta dip is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Ingredients
This creamy whipped feta dip is made with just a few simple ingredients:
- Quality feta cheese. I can’t stress this enough. Find the best feta you can! We’re looking for blocks of feta, not crumbles.
- Cream cheese. Full fat or reduced fat cream cheese both work in this recipe.
- Plain Greek yogurt. In a pinch, you can substitute sour cream.
- Pepperoncini peppers. These are mild Italian peppers, typically found in jars at most grocery stores.
- Scallions
- Extra virgin olive oil

How to Make Feta Cheese Dip?
It’s a good idea to start with room temperature feta cheese and cream cheese, as they’ll be easier to blend.
Place the feta cheese, cream cheese, Green yogurt and a little olive oil into the bowl of a food processor. Now, whip them together until you’ve got a smooth dip.
Then, transfer the feta mixture to a large bowl and fold in the chopped scallions and pepperoncini peppers.
It’s that simple!

Serving Suggestions
There are lots of different things you can do with whipped feta that go beyond basic dipping! Here are some of my favorite ideas:
1. Garnishes: Top this spicy Greek feta dip with freshly cracked black pepper, chopped kalamata olives, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or lemon zest.
2. Dippers: This is the perfect dip for people who are trying to eat low carb! Serve it with fresh veggies like sliced cucumber, cherry tomatoes and bell pepper strips. If you don’t mind carbs, enjoy this delicious dip with pita chips, warm pita bread or a loaf of crusty bread.
3. Serve on a Platter: Include this traditional Greek dip as part of a mezze platter with hummus, tzatziki and roasted red peppers.
4. Enjoy with a Main Course: Add extra flavor to your grilled steaks, chicken and fish dishes with a spoonful of this creamy feta dip. Or try a dollop on top of a Greek salad. So good!

How can I make this feta dip lower in fat?
Lowering the fat in this Greek feta dip is easy.
I’m a big fan of low-fat Greek yogurt (2% or even 0% milkfat). Unless you’re making labneh or another recipe that puts the yogurt front and center, you can reduce the fat without sacrificing flavor.
Same goes for cream cheese. I almost always use reduced fat cream cheese in my recipes. You won’t be able to tell the difference, so save a few calories and go with the lower fat version.
So what about the feta? Here’s where I draw the line. Reduced fat feta cheese will not cut it here, my friends. The flavor will not be the same.
Be sure to find the highest quality feta you can, in a solid brick (not crumbles), because this is what will give your Greek feta dip that tangy punch that we all expect from feta cheese.
Storage Instructions
Keep leftover feta dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It should stay fresh for up to one week.
The next time you want to enjoy it, give it a good stir and dig back in!
