In the season of indulgence, I’m always happy to serve this Christmas tree veggie tray at a holiday gathering.

It may be the only chance we get to eat our veggies during the holiday season! And the festive shape makes it super fun to enjoy.
Ingredients
- Bell peppers. For this veggie platter, we’re using red, yellow and orange peppers. Feel free to swap in a green pepper if you like.
- Cucumber
- Sugar snap peas
- Grape tomatoes. These are slightly oblong and I find them easier to work with, but you can also use cherry tomatoes.

How to Make a Christmas Tree Veggie Tray
Slice the Veggies
Start by slicing the bell peppers into long, thin strips. Do the same with the cucumber. Depending on the length of the cucumber, I’ll cut it into halves or thirds and then cut the strips from there.
The snap peas and tomatoes simply need to be washed, no slicing required!

Select a Serving Tray
Find a large, rectangular serving board. It could be wooden, marble, slate or even plastic.
Even a large cutting board will work.

Make the Tree Shape
The yellow peppers will make the first layer, or the bottom of the tree. So we want this layer to be the widest. Fan the peppers out until they reach the edges of your serving board, and turn the outer strips slightly inward.
Next, layer the cucumber strips, slightly overlapping them over the pepper strips and turning the outer pieces inward slightly.
Repeat this pattern with the red peppers, orange peppers and snow peas.
Use the tomatoes to make the top of the tree.

Dip Suggestions
1. Ranch Dip. The dip I always go for first! Use a good bottle of ranch salad dressing or try my easy recipe.
2. Onion Dip. I can never say no to a good onion dip. If you’re feeling fancy, try my caramelized onion dip. Or make it easy and buy French onion dip at the grocery store.
3. Veggie Dip. You can always find a few different brands of veggie dip at the grocery store. My favorites are the ones with dill.
4. Hummus. Creamy and dairy free, hummus is always a winner. Buy it from the store or try my recipe for homemade hummus.
5. Tzatziki. Cool and creamy, it’s a great option for dipping fresh vegetables. Try my recipe or find it premade in the grocery store.

Variations
There are lots of creative ways to customize this veggie tree for your next holiday party. Try these options:

- Carrot sticks
- Fresh broccoli florets
- Zucchini slices

Make Ahead and Storage Instructions
Make your life easy during this busy season and assemble this vegetable platter ahead of time. Carefully cover it with a few layers of plastic wrap and it will stay fresh for up to 2 days.
To store any leftovers, place them into a large Ziploc bag or airtight container. Use leftover veggies in stir fries or just for dipping again.
