This cheesy pull apart garlic bread is probably one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever made.
Warm and garlicky, it’s a sinfully delicious way to enjoy bread and cheese.

Every little nook and cranny is a flavor explosion of buttery, garlicky, cheesy heaven.
Serve it up as an appetizer or side dish, or enjoy it all by itself as a guilty pleasure any time!

Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make this garlic cheese bread recipe:
- Refrigerated pizza dough. I recommend using Pillsbury pizza dough because it’s already in the shape of a rectangle, making it easier to cut into squares.
- Mozzarella cheese
- Cheddar Cheese
- Butter
- Garlic powder
- Dried parsley

How to Make Cheesy Garlic Pull Apart Bread
Make the Garlic Butter
Start with room temperature butter in a small bowl.
Now, stir in the garlic powder, dried parsley and salt. Mix everything together so it’s well combined.
Combine the Cheeses
Place the grated mozzarella and cheddar cheese in a separate bowl and mix them together well.
Slice the pizza dough into squares
Roll your first sheet of pizza dough into a rectangle that’s slightly larger than how it first comes out of the tube.
Now, use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to slice it into 12 squares. Do the same with the second sheet of pizza dough so you have a total of 24 squares.
Then, spread a little bit of garlic herb butter onto each square and top with some of the cheese mixture.

Assemble the loaf of bread
Now that you have all of your dough squares ready, the next step is stacking them on top of each other.
We’re going to form 4 stacks with 6 squares in each stack.
Then, gently transfer each dough stack into your parchment-lined loaf pan.

Bake the Bread
We’re going to start the baking process by covering the loaf with foil. This will allow the bread to cook without the top browning too quickly.
About halfway through the baking process, go ahead and remove the foil and let the top get golden brown.
When your gorgeous, cheesy loaf comes out of the oven, brush it with a little melted butter and sprinkle it with sea salt for the perfect finishing touch.
For a pop of color, consider sprinkling some chopped fresh parsley over top.

How to tell if your Cheesy bread is fully baked
Because ovens vary, you’ll want to make sure your cheesy garlic bread is cooked all the way through before you turn that oven off.
Use two forks to gently separate the pieces of dough and check if they’re fully cooked. If not, give them more time.
If you do have a kitchen thermometer, stick it in there and check for an internal temperature of 190F degrees.

Serving Suggestions
Here are some of my favorite ways to enjoy this cheesy pull-apart garlic bread:
1. As an appetizer: A loaf of warm bread stuffed with melty cheese makes a great appetizer before the main meal.
2. As a side dish: Serve this garlicky bread with an entree salad topped with your protein of choice.
3. As the main event: Enjoy this delicious loaf for movie night, game day or any time you want to indulge in a little bread and melted cheese! Try serving it with a side of marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.

Storage Instructions
Leftover pull apart bread should be wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerated. It will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Reheat it in a 375F degree oven until it’s warmed all the way through.

I’m making this. Were we suppose to roll pizza dough out more than from the can
Yes, just roll it a couple of times until it’s a slightly larger rectangle than what comes out of the tube.
