How to Make a Baked Brie Wreath with Crescent Rolls
Arrange the Crescent Rolls
Start by setting a small bowl in the center of a baking sheet. The bowl I use is 5 inches in diameter.
Then, arrange the crescent rolls in an overlapping pattern around the bowl, with the points facing outward and the widest parts pressed against the bowl.

Layer the Fillings
Once your crescent rolls are arranged around the bowl, spread the thick parts of the dough with fig jam.
Now, cut the brie into small pieces and arrange them on top of the fig jam. Finally, sprinkle the whole thing with chopped pecans.

Fold the Dough
Carefully remove the bowl from the cookie sheet.
Then, start folding the crescent dough in towards the center, tucking each piece under. Go around the circle, making sure there are no gaps between the crescent rolls.
Bake the Wreath
Before baking, brush the entire wreath with egg wash. Now, bake until it’s golden brown and gorgeous.

Garnish the Wreath
Decorate your brie wreath with a drizzle of honey and fresh rosemary. I like to add some dried cranberries for pops of color.

Variations
There are so many fun ways to customize this easy appetizer! Here are a few ideas:
1. The filling. As alternatives to fig preserves, try cranberry sauce, apricot preserves or raspberry jam.
2. The garnish. Decorate your wreath with chopped herbs like fresh thyme and sage, as alternatives to rosemary.
3. The center of the wreath. I love filling my wreath center with lots of fresh sage leaves and cranberries, but you could also fill the center with fruits like fresh figs and apple slices. Another idea is to fill the center with toasted baguette slices and wheat crackers.

Make Ahead Instructions
To make this appetizer ahead of time, assemble the entire thing up to the point of the egg wash.
When you’re ready to bake it, brush it with beaten egg and pop it in the oven. All that’s left will be the garnishes!

Should you cut the rind off brie before baking?
The rind on brie cheese is totally edible, so it comes down to personal preference. It’s often helpful to leave some rind on when you’re baking an entire wheel of brie, because the rind helps hold the cheese’s shape.
For this particular recipe, I recommend trimming the rind as much as you can without going nuts, because the crescent dough is already holding the cheese in place.

Can you substitute puff pastry for crescent dough?
Typically, you can substitute puff pastry for crescent dough if you’re doing baked brie en croute.
However, for this recipe, it is much easier to use crescent rolls because they are already cut to the shape we need to form the wreath.
