It’s got layers of cheese, sauce and pepperoni that are baked until ooey-gooey and bubbling. It’s the pizza you can dip!
This easy recipe has quickly become a family favorite for get-togethers, game days and winter nights. You’re going to love it too!

Ingredients
- Cream cheese. Make sure it’s at room temperature so it blends easily with the other ingredients.
- Sour cream
- Mozzarella cheese
- Pizza sauce. Grab a store bought brand or try my easy homemade recipe. Do not confuse pasta sauce for pizza sauce! Pizza sauce is thicker.
- Pepperoni. Use your favorite kind. If you can find mini pepperoni at the grocery store, they’re super cute on top of this dip. I use turkey pepperoni, so I chop mine into pieces.
- Italian seasoning
- Salt

How to Make Pizza Dip
Make the Cream Cheese Layer
Start by combining the softened cream cheese with the sour cream, Italian seasoning and salt.

Try one or more of these dippers:
- Tortilla chips
- Pita chips
- Bagel chips
- Toasted baguette slices

Variations
I love how customizable this pizza dip is. Just add your favorite toppings and you’re off to the races. Here are some ideas:
Meat Lover’s Pizza Dip. Add cooked Italian sausage to the pepperoni for a carnivore’s delight.
Veggie Pizza Dip. Saute chopped green peppers, mushrooms and onions in a pan until they’re softened. Then, add them in place of the pepperoni and follow the instructions in the recipe card. Veggie heaven!
Spicy Pizza Dip. If you like a little heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes on top before or after baking.
Pesto Pizza Dip. Either replace the pizza sauce with pesto sauce or add the pesto as an extra layer for a delicious flavor dimension.

Make Ahead Instructions
To prepare this dip ahead of time, assemble it completely and cover tightly with plastic wrap.
Be sure to bake it within 24-48 hours.
When you’re ready to bake it, let it rest at room temperature while the oven preheats. Then, bake according to the instructions in the recipe card.

Storage Instructions
Store any leftover dip it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
To reheat, place the dip in a microwave-safe bowl and warm until heated through, or reheat in the oven until the cheese becomes soft and melty again.
Tips for Success
1. Grate your own cheese. For the best melt factor, grate your own cheese. Pre-shredded cheese typically contains an anti-caking agent that affects melting.
2. Use room temperature ingredients. Try to start with your cream cheese and sour cream at room temperature. They will blend more easily and form a super creamy base for the dip.
3. Do not use marinara sauce. It has higher moisture content and could result in a watery dip. Be sure to use pizza sauce.
