Guinness Beer Cheese Dip

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups sharp cheddar cheese grated
  • 4 oz. cream cheese room temperature
  • 12 oz. Guinness beer
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 2 Tbsp. all purpose flour
  • 1 garlic minced
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in the garlic and flour. Cook until bubbling, about 1 minute.
  • Whisk in the beer, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, paprika, onion powder and salt.
  • Stir in the grated cheddar cheese and softened cream cheese. Bring the mixture a boil over high heat, whisking.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer about 5 minutes, until thickened. Serve warm.
