No campfire? No problem! Let me show you how easy it is to make ooey, gooey s’mores right in your air fryer.

Keeping it real, we all know there’s nothing quite like sitting around a fire pit and roasting marshmallows over an open flame. It’s the best part of summer!
But what if there’s no fire? What if a craving for s’mores hits in the winter time? Enter this air fryer s’mores recipe.
In under 10 minutes, you’ll be enjoying this classic treat with golden brown marshmallows, crunchy graham crackers and melty chocolate.
But fair warning: Once you try this super easy recipe, there’s a good chance that your regular s’mores consumption will double.
Ingredients
Make everyone’s favorite campfire treat indoors with these three simple ingredients:
- Graham crackers
- Standard size marshmallows
- Chocolate bars

How to Make Air Fryer S’mores
Follow these simple steps to create this easy dessert:
1. Break apart your graham crackers and chocolate bars.
2. Cut your marshmallows in half and place the sticky sides down onto one graham cracker half.

3. Air fry until the marshmallows are golden brown.
4. Place two pieces of chocolate and the other half of the graham cracker onto the warm marshmallows.
5. Let the marshmallows melt the chocolate, and enjoy!

The Best Chocolate to Use for S’mores
For the best results, I recommend going with the gold standard for s’mores – Hershey bars.
You can get 2-4 s’mores out of one Hershey bar and, in my humble opinion, there’s no better way to make a s’more.
That said, there are delicious ways to get creative with various types of chocolate, so keep reading!

Variations
1. The Chocolate: Although the classic Hershey bar is considered the best choice for s’mores, use your own favorite chocolate to customize your experience. Dark chocolate and white chocolate can be found in baking bars at the grocery store, or you could even try using milk chocolate chips.
2. The Marshmallows: Some grocery stores sell extra large marshmallows in the summertime, often labeled “campfire marshmallows”. If you use these jumbo marshmallows, use just one half on each s’more instead of the whole thing.
3. The Graham Crackers: Have fun with alternatives like chocolate chip cookies, ginger snaps or chocolate wafer cookies.
Can you use marshmallow fluff to make air fryer s’mores?
I do not recommend using fluff in an air fryer unless you want a hot mess.

Why does my marshmallow keep falling off the graham cracker?
Sometimes marshmallows get blown off the graham cracker squares by the hot air that circulates inside the air fryer during cooking.
The best way to reduce the chances of this happening is to cut the marshmallows in half and press the sticky insides down onto the graham crackers.
If your marshmallows are still falling off while making air fryer smores, use a spoon to gently move them back on to the graham crackers.

Pro Tips
1. Line the Air Fryer Basket. This is an easy way to avoid any mess that a flying marshmallow might create. Line the basket with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Or, my favorite way is with an air fryer liner that’s already cut to fit perfectly.
2. Press the Marshmallows Firmly. Really use those sticky insides of the marshmallows to get them to stick to the graham crackers so they don’t fall off during cooking.
3. Adjust Cooking Time for your Air Fryer. Air fryers vary in terms of power, so be sure to adjust your cook time. While my air fryer takes 3 minutes to yield perfectly soft, gooey marshmallows, yours might take 2 or even 4 minutes.
4. Wait to Eat. When your s’mores come out of the air fryer, the marshmallows will be very hot – hot enough to melt the chocolate! So wait a few minutes before devouring.

Storage
Indoor s’mores are best enjoyed when they’re fresh out of the air fryer.
But if you really want to store them, pop them into an airtight container and keep them at room temperature for 1-2 days.
