- Smoked deli turkey
- Sharp deli cheddar cheese
- Baby spinach
- Cream cheese
- Ranch seasoning

How to Make Turkey Pinwheels
Make the Cream Cheese Mixture
Start with room temperature cream cheese. Place it into a small bowl and stir in the dry ranch seasoning.
Then, divide it between the two tortillas and spread it out evenly. Be sure to leave a 1/2 inch perimeter around the tortilla without any cream cheese.
Layer the Ingredients
Place the deli turkey and cheese in a single layer over the cream cheese mixture. It’s okay if they overlap a little.
Finally, arrange the baby spinach leaves over top.

Roll it Up and Chill it Out
Carefully roll up the tortilla as tightly as you can, tucking the ingredients under as you roll. Place it seam side down on a work surface and wrap it in plastic wrap. Now, refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
Slice and Enjoy
Unwrap your chilled tortillas and slice them into pinwheels. Enjoy them cold or at room temperature.

Variations
Pinwheel recipes are really easy to customize. Start with the basic cream cheese mixture and build your favorite combinations.
- The veggies: Add thin strips of bell pepper, shredded carrots or crunchy lettuce.
- Change the cheese: Cheddar is delicious, but you can use Swiss cheese, mozzarella or another different cheese you love.
- Make it a club: Add cooked bacon and some lettuce and tomato for easy turkey club pinwheels.
- Use different turkey: If smoked turkey isn’t your thing, try oven roasted turkey, pepper turkey or honey roasted turkey instead.
- Make them gluten free: Use gluten free tortillas to make these pinwheels friendly for everyone.

Make Ahead and Storage Instructions
These turkey pinwheels are ideal for meal prep because they can be assembled ahead of time.
After rolling the tortillas, wrap each roll tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate until you’re ready to slice them. You can refrigerate them, unsliced, for up to 2 days.
Once sliced, store the pinwheels in an airtight container in the refrigerator. For the best texture, enjoy them within 1–2 days.

Helpful Tips
Use room temperature cream cheese. This makes it much easier to create a smooth, creamy spread.
Don’t overfill the tortillas. A thin layer of cream cheese mixture is all you need. Too much filling can make the tortillas difficult to roll and can cause the filling to squeeze out.
Use soft tortillas. Fresh, soft tortillas are less likely to crack when you roll them. Flour tortillas are more friendly than corn tortillas.
Roll tightly. Start at one edge and roll the tortilla as tightly as possible without squeezing out the filling. A tight roll helps the pinwheels hold their shape.
Chill before slicing. Refrigerating the rolled tortillas for at least 30 minutes gives the cream cheese time to firm up and makes slicing much easier.
Use a sharp knife. This will give you nice, clean slices.
Don’t use thick slices of meat. Thinly sliced deli turkey works best because it rolls easily and doesn’t create bulky pinwheels. If using thicker slices of turkey, use fewer pieces.

Why Are My Pinwheels Soggy?
Soggy pinwheels are usually caused by excess moisture from the ingredients. Here are a few fixes:
1. Keep the fillings dry. Pat veggies dry before assembling the pinwheel. Avoid veggies with high moisture contents like tomatoes. Some deli meats also contain extra moisture, so pat them dry as well.
2. Use only a thin layer of cream cheese. Too much creamy filling can make the tortilla soft over time.
3. Assemble as close to serving time as possible. Pinwheels will get soggy over time, so they’re best enjoyed the same day they’re assembled.
